Sea Kayaking in Antarctica

Antarctica. Just the word conjures images of immense icebergs, glistening glaciers and wildlife spectacles that are second to none. The Great White Continent has no equal - its extreme temperatures, soaring mountain ranges and sheer remoteness make it a destination for only the intrepid and those wanting to experience the final frontier in travel.

An Antarctic expedition will take you across the vast Drake Passage and past the wildlife-rich Shetland Islands before arriving in the breathtakingly beautiful channels of the Antarctic Peninsula. Slowly paddle through the icy waters by kayak as you watch as Magellanic penguins waddle along the shores and elephant seals bask in the sunshine. Daily zodiac excursions will whisk you to scientific stations where research is being conducted that will shape the wider world and enable you to step where legendary explorers have come before.

There is nothing that will prepare you for Antarctica’s grandeur and the humbling experience of bearing witness to this untouched land.

 

Exclusive Sea Kayak Adventures Immersive Kayaking Opportunity

We are offering our exclusive immersive kayaking opportunity on the February 2025 departure, limited to 10 kayaking spaces. 

This program is designed for those guests who want to kayak as much as possible during their voyage. Immersive kayaking is limited to 10 participants, with a dedicated kayak guide and safety Zodiac. Immersive paddlers will have the opportunity to kayak during most excursions and landings, weather and conditions permitting.  This is an exclusive opportunity only offered through Sea Kayak Adventues in partnership with Polar Latitudes, and will be lead by a Sea Kayak Adventures Guide. 

Spaces are limited and will be booked on a first come first served basis.

Additional Itineraries and Discovery Kayaking:

Additional Antarctica itineraries are available for those who are interesting in kayaking but not to the extent offered in the exclusive immersive sea kayaking trips! 

On the following itinaries, guests can choose to add discovery kayaking to the itineary. This program is designed for those guests who just want a taste of the kayaking experience. Each participant has the opportunity to kayak in a group of 14 with a dedicated guide team and safety Zodiac. Groups will go out during most excursions and landings, weather and conditions permitting.
