Reservations - Terms and Conditions
Deposits and Payment – Prices are in US dollars
A non-refundable deposit of $200 USD ($300 for God's Pocket Resort; $400 for 10-day combos, $500 for Mothership and Patagonia tours) confirms your space. Final payment is due 60 days prior to trip departure BUT 75 days prior if 1) it is a peak holiday trip or 2) booking via a third party or 3) when booking the last spots on a given tour - thus postmarked/mailed out a week prior to that. Deposits can be made by check, money order, or bank wire (different for Mothership and Patagonia tours). We accept Visa and Mastercard payment for deposit normally - call us to discuss charging balance by VISA or MC. Special conditions will apply for bookings made within 30 days of a trip departure - call us for details. Trips with fewer than 6 guests – a $150/person small trip surcharge applies.
Upon receipt of your deposit you will be sent our trip guide/handbook which includes a detailed itinerary, clothing and gear list, and other useful information. You will also receive medical questionnaire, assumption of risk, and reservation forms that must be signed and returned WITH final payment. Reservations are not considered complete without all paperwork and final payment.
Anyone in good health with a positive attitude can enjoy kayaking and many of our tours are designed for novices. The amount of paddling is a good balance of challenge and ease. Please call us, or consult your physician if you have any concerns regarding your ability to participate on one of our kayak tours. A person must be at least 5 ft tall and 100 lbs in order to participate in our sea kayak tours. We reserve the right to ask for specific doctor's written ok or require you to try kayaking prior to participation on our sea kayak tours if we feel unsure about the trip’s suitability for you based on medical issues, age, weight, current physical regimen, weather elements such as wind. We know the physical elements involved, and we want you to be prepared. We are happy to discuss any issue/concern with you.
All cancellations must be received in writing. All monies are non-refundable 75 days or less prior to trip departure. You are welcome to find a suitable replacement for yourself, who would then reimburse you, and send us their own reservation, health and assumption of risk forms well in advance of the trip. Please strongly consider purchasing travel insurance upon booking as every year someone regrets not doing so. PLEASE NOTE: DEPOSITS ARE NEVER REFUNDABLE.
As part of the trip package you will receive an option to purchase travel insurance to cover your trip with us in case you have to cancel, with our recommendation - a company we've known and trusted for over 20 years: http://seak1036id.portals.mhross.com/ (most get the Bridge or Complete coverage). We highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance to protect your vacation investment in case you must cancel your trip in the event of last minute circumstances. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO RESEARCH WHAT INSURANCE WILL COVER.
Sea Kayak Adventures, Inc. is not responsible for additional expenses arising from the delay, extension, or cancellation of a trip due to weather, airlines, or other causes beyond our control.
Sea Kayak Adventures, Inc. reserves the right to change an itinerary or cancel any trip due to: Acts of God, weather, inadequate sign up, or any unforeseen problems. If we cancel a trip, clients will be offered either transfer to another comparable trip, credit towards a future trip, or a full refund. Sea Kayak Adventures, Inc. is not responsible for your travel expenses such as airline tickets (including fees/change fees/penalties/air flight cancellation), hotel charges, medical and emergency expenses, equipment purchases, delays or changes in your travel to and from our tour.
Sea Kayak Adventures, Inc. acts only as an agent in all matters relating to services such as taxi, ground transportation, air transport, hotel or boat charter and can assume no liability for any actions or defaults of any individual organization with whom such arrangements have been made.
All of our guides are trained and certified in CPR and Wilderness First Aid. We carry radios and cell phones so help can be summoned in an emergency, but locations are remote. Participants are encouraged to obtain adequate insurance coverage. Sea Kayak Adventures, Inc. assumes no responsibility regarding provision or cost of medical care or evacuation. Certain medical conditions will require written doctor's permission prior to tour participation.
A participant agreement, release and assumption of risk form must be signed in its entirety by all participants and returned to our office 60-75 days prior to each trip along with all other reservation and health forms, in order to complete your booking. These forms certify that you have read and understand our Terms & Conditions.

To reserve your space on a trip please contact our office by calling 800-616-1943 or 208-765-3116 or email us. Our office hours are from 8:30 AM to 5 PM Pacific Time Monday through Friday. Dates often fill up months in advance, and airline seats are limited, so we strongly recommend reserving your space early. Passports are required.
